Amerock BP7565-G10 satin nickel wrap inset hinges are a partial wrap around hinge, the 3/8" inset means that 3/8" of your door is inside the face frame and 3/8" will be protruding out of the opening of the frame.

Partial Wrap Around Hinge

The wrap of BP7565-G10 hinge is a partial wrap around hinge, this refers to the part of the 3/8" inset hinges that mounts to the cabinet, not the part that mounts to the door. The partial wrap means that the hinge lays on the face of the face-frame and also on the edge of the face-frame, thus the cabinet industry calls this the partial wrap around hinge or wrap inset hinge.
