BP7139-BB Burnished Brass Overlay hinges are for cabinets with the door larger than the opening of the cabinet. Overlay is the width of a door minus the door opening of the cabinet then divide by two. This is the overlay of the cabinet door. An Example of Overlay Cabinet Hinges would be a door 13" and a door opening 12"  13 minus 12 divided by two would be 1/2" or 1/2 inch overlay.
